do you like green eggs and ham?

that sam i am, that sam i am
i do not like that sam i am....

But my two-year old is positively in love with him. I have now read Green Eggs and Ham about twelve thousand times. I used to love this book. Someday she will have a child who will need this to be read to them e.v.e.r.y.s.i.n.g.l.e.n.i.g.h.t........

In the meantime, to amuse myself, I am developing a rather interesting and rather camp Glaswegian accent as I read. I hope it doesn't disturb her too much. Help ma boab!

lol, we have done this too, though I'm not so sure on the accent.... in the end we lent it to a friend's child who stayed over, never to be seen again... I miss it now... good memories :)

Love this book......cut my own teeth on it....made my Mom and Dad read it to me 10,000 times when I was a wee geg. Hop on Pop was another winner, and One fish, two fish......

And the copies were kept for me to be able to read them to my kiddies. They've now been put away for another generation.

Would you eat it on a train?

that's cool. i wish i had my original red copy of Green eggs and Ham. we have the other dr seus's too but ana only likes 'ham' at the minute.

rd, i recommend getting yourself another copy. i bought myself 'dogger' about 10 years ago as it was a childhood favourite. as was 'little black sambo' actually, but i might pass on getting another copy of that one...!

both of yez, get thee to a dr seus! i d wish i had your postal addresses so i could spread the love....

green eggs and ham is actually my favourite but i also like One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. i am not kidding when i say that dr seus was probably the biggest inspiration to my writing when i first started trying to write stuff. probably explains a lot....
